To do justice to the musical artists of the top1000 by Veronica Radio, we designed a statement more than a campaign.

The Top1000 Of All Times is an annual tradition. To remind people that it was ‘that time of year,’ we portrayed musicians as the masters they are.

We were adamant about it. The effort of creating the masterpieces should not be done as a gimmick, but for real. By making genuine oil paintings in the style old master painters, an idea became a story worth sharing.

The realness of the work decides its worth. Artist Michiel Alders created four intensely beautiful oil paintings that were scanned by the professionals who do the same for the Rijksmuseum. The scans were then used in both online and offline communication.
